The first snow of the season in Slovenia is always a magical experience, and this year was no exception. My husband Luka and I were staying at our lovely vacation home, Pri Lenart, in the charming village of Podvrh. As soon as the snow began to fall, we knew it was time to head out and explore the winter wonderland.

We started off with a leisurely hike through the snow-covered trails, taking in the breathtaking views of the local hills. The snow was fresh and untouched, making for a truly peaceful and serene experience. As we walked, we couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to enjoy such a beautiful winter day.

After our hike, Luka set off into the backcountry to enjoy his backcountry skiing while I, an avid snowshoer, couldn't wait to hit the trails with my snowshoes.

It was an unforgettable experience, the snowshoeing through the untouched snow, and the feeling of the snow crunching under my shoes was simply amazing. I am excited to do it again in the future.

Luka returned with stories of beautiful descents and great powder, while I shared my own excitement about the snowshoeing experience.

All in all, our first snow experience in Slovenia was a complete success. We were able to enjoy the snow in so many different ways and make memories that will last a lifetime. We can't wait to come back to Pri Lenart and do it all over again.
