 " In a nutshell - a great place in an even better location. A good variety of walks and hikes (do pick the steep ones if you're up for it!), with plenty of good food and wine afterwards. The area is completely unspoilt. They do offer excursions to Bled and hikes in other areas - but if you ask me, there is plenty to discover around the hotel itself!"

  "We had never visited Slovenia before and had no idea what to expect , when we arrived at the picturesque village of Podvrh  we were amazed by the natural  beauty of it . The air was fresh and the water was sourced  from the mountains just above us (we were able to drink the clear water from streams).  As we walked from the house we saw many other really old houses like the one Keith and Sarah owned , the  wide open space of the landscape  was breathtaking , we walked up the mountains and saw some really fantastic views, we could see for miles. We went tobogganing the snow one day and  walked in tee-shirts around the beautiful Lake Bled the next , we saw some amazing giant  caves with huge rock formations, and experienced the hospitality of the locals, they are a very patriotic people and loved their country and it was great to experience their culture and way of life (it's a very laid back and healthy lifestyle). The city of Lublijana was well worth a visit, the food and drink there is very affordable, we are a family of four with 12 year twin boys who thoroughly enjoyed themselves,  we  would recommend Slovenia to anyone, and look foward to a return visit."
